The new MSI P55-GD80 motherboard is based on the Intel P55 chipset, supporting socket LGA-1156 Intel processors (Intel Core i7/Intel Core i5).It supports as many as three graphics cards in multi-GPU configurations. It is probably the first motherboard to sport an all-DrMOS (driver MOSFET) design. DrMOS chips have been usually confined to the CPU VRM areas on some MSI motherboards.
The maximus RAM supported is 16GB (4-DIMMS) DDR3.There are 8 SATA ports and 1 IDE port on the board.The new MSI P55-GD80 features 7.1ch HD Audio with True Blue-ray audio,1 eSATA port,and 14 USB ports.It also sports Dual Gigabit LAN ports.
